Michael Carey is a Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter/composer/guitarist who's resume ranges from platinum-selling recording artists to award-winning ad campaigns, films, trailers and TV themes. 

Recent works include 2 songs (co-writer) on Escape The Fate's (Eleven Seven Music) upcoming album produced by Howard Benson including the single "Alive" due October 2015, recording and, mixing a track for Irish singer/songwriter Gavin James (Capitol Records), producing/co-writing Santana singer Andy Vargas’s debut solo album and "landscaping" entire albums with guitars and engineering for Mary Lambert (Capitol) and the 6x multi-platinum “Terral” by Pablo Alboran (Warner Music-Spain), 

Earlier works include three singles for ex-Dishwalla singer JR Richards (co-writer/producer), writing/producing the end-title track for the critically acclaimed film "Lbs", guitars on albums for Tony Lucca (The Voice/222 Records), Jacquie Lee (The Voice/300 Entertainment), Japanese rock/pop icon Kenichi Kurosawa (Pony Canyon), and producing/writing/mixing/performing on albums and singles for top-selling Russian artists LounaMAX and Nogu Svelo!

From 1998 through 2008, as Creative Director/principal composer for the boutique music house Resonation, Michael composed, produced, and oversaw hand-picked teams of composers to provide award winning music for hundreds of high profile ad campaigns and themes for clients including Coca ColaFordOutbackNASCARToyotaTBSMiramaxDisney and many others.  In between commercials he stayed active with album work, programming and arranging for pop icons Robbie Williams and Will Smith, producing tracks for Desmond Child, and Wilson Phillips, and playing guitars on albums for Jason Castro and David Archuleta (American Idol) and producing Asian pop icon Agnes Chan's debut English album.
