Like a lot of women, in my late teens and early 20’s I experienced an extremely abusive relationship- mental and physical. It left a massive void in my life for a very long time, one that affected all my subsequent relationships. Since then, I have become stronger and more secure, and tenacious in my need to forgive so that I may help others, both women and men, stand up to abuse and overcome it.
