Description

Sunset Records sets up for the spring release of The Boy From Space debut CD. The entire CD is being recorded at Happy Beat with one of the top music producers in the world. It is very easy to hear the pop influence of Fran Ashcroft. “We are at the point now where we are adding bonus tracks and creating versions of certain songs for the radio pools,” says Sunset Records head, Don Lichterman. “This is one of those projects where you just let them go off in the studio,” Lichterman continues to say, “the band cannot be in any better hands as far as working with a producer, engineer and at the Happy Beat Facility.”

(Fran) Ashcroft’s producer and engineer credits not only include pop superstars The Dandy Warhols, the Gorillaz and The Kingsman, he has worked at the top recording studios all over the world that include Abbey Road Studios, Trident Studios (for EMI), Robert Lang Studios and Birdland Studios. He has also grown his own Happy Beat Recording Studio to be one of the top rated recording facilities in the world, and it is one of the most booked recorded studios every day. Happy Beat boasts to having innovative recording equipment (SONY, Yamaha), perfect sounding monitors (Goodman), an array of microphones to choose that span decades (Sony Mic’s from 1971, Philco Stereo Mic from the 1960’s, etc.) and all the Outboard gear needed for the perfect recording, mixing and mastering process. Happy Beat is also equipped with many instruments for bands to add and/or use during their recording session.
